Restauranteur Stefano Fabbri of Pomo Restaurant Group’s Pomo Pizzeria, Luna Gelateria and Mora Italian has the ball rolling on a Scottsdale location for the full service eatery, Meat the Ball. The meatball-centric restaurant is a scratch kitchen sourcing quality ingredients, while giving them an Italian flair. The restaurant will host its grand opening with City of Scottsdale Mayor, Jim Lane, on Thursday, November 7 at 4 p.m. in the Scottsdale Promenade (16211 N. Scottsdale Rd., Ste A5) in North Scottsdale.
“We are excited to introduce Meat the Ball to North Scottsdale and share our new Italian inspired menu items with the community,” Fabbri said. “We are dedicated to providing our guests with fresh and local ingredients in a fun, bright atmosphere and a unique dining experience.”
The restaurant has placed an emphasis on responsibly sourced meats without hormones, antibiotics or GMOs. Meat the Ball has also partnered with Arcadia Meat Market and Mary’s Organic Chicken for organic meat and grass fed beef.
Meat the Ball’s menu will include vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Notable dishes include The Flower, a vegan and gluten-free roasted cauliflower ball dish with spiced tomato and curry sauce over curried broccoli rice; The Flanker, a short rib ball plate with grass fed beef braised overnight with gravy over creamy polenta; and their signature dish, Spaghetti & Meatballs, with hand crafted spaghetti using Italian Semolina flour, grass fed beef and pork balls, parmesan and secret tomato sauce.
The 1,500 square foot Meat the Ball is a full service eatery with a retro theme and touches of pop-art reminiscent of a mid-century diner. The spot boasts an open kitchen with bar seating, large pet-friendly outdoor patio and a colorful pop-art tile wall.
Meat the Ball will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Scottsdale Promenade (16211 N. Scottsdale Rd., Ste A5) in North Scottsdale. Happy hour will run seven days a week from 3 to 6 p.m. For more information on Meat the Ball, visit meattheball.com.
