Deer Valley, AZ – In honor of Earth Day, Sprinkles Cupcakes is teaming up with local tree planting and environmental care organizations in each of its markets. From April 21st to 25th100 percent of proceeds from Sprinkles’ tree-adorned vanilla cupcakes sold in Scottsdale will be donated to Desert Botanical Garden. Guests can also pledge to take a positive conservation action through social media and enter to win great items from Sprinkles and the Garden including general admission passes to the Garden, a $20 Sprinkles Gift Card, and more when they purchase an Earth Day cupcake.

“We think it is important to give back to local organizations within the communities where our stores are located,” says Co-Founder and Executive Pastry Chef Candace Nelson. Each new store we open gives us the chance to form partnerships within that community and help to make a difference locally. We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Desert Botanical Garden and continue to support them in the years to come.”

Since 2008, Sprinkles has raised $78,000 for environmental care organizations in its local markets.  In addition to Desert Botanical Garden, Sprinkles donates to TreePeople in Los Angeles, Surfrider Foundation in Newport Beach, Texas Trees Foundation in Dallas and Committee for Green Foothills in Palo Alto.

The limited edition Earth Day cupcake will be available at Sprinkles from April 21st to 25th.
