Expansion of center to provide free service to the public
Deer Valley, Az – Maricopa Skill Center (MSC) is excited to announce the grand opening of the expanded Workforce Center on campus.
The expansion of services in the Workforce Center was created through a partnership with Goodwill Industries of Central Arizona to build upon services currently offered to MSC students as well as support career exploration for members of the community who are seeking employment. Goodwill will bring staff on to MSC and MSC Northwest Campus to work with both students and public on job search, resume building and interview techniques.
“Maricopa Skill Center’s partnership with Goodwill allows us to provide greater opportunities for our students and the public,” Interim Director CJ Wurster said. “I am excited that Goodwill has been able to help the school expand the Workforce Center. It is a wonderful way to help the community.”
MSC will celebrate the grand opening at both campuses with representatives for the school, Maricopa County Community College District and Goodwill. Tours will be available of the Workforce Center and the campus.
Grand Opening at MSC, 1245 E. Buckeye Road, Phoenix, is at 10 a.m. on Feb. 12.
Grand Opening at MSC Northwest, 2931 W. Bell Road, Phoenix, is at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25.
