The southbound I-17 off-ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed continuously through mid-November. Crews are scheduled to construct the new southbound I-17 exit ramp.

ADOT recommends allowing extra travel time and planning for possible delays. Alternate routes include:
• Exit southbound I-17 at Jomax or Happy Valley roads and travel east to southbound 19th Avenue; or
• Travel south on I-17 to the Deer Valley Road exit, then travel east to northbound 19th Avenue or west to northbound 35th Avenue.

Expect additional closures and restrictions on I-17, Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads this fall as new off- and on-ramps are built; the existing Pinnacle Peak Road bridge is demolished; and traffic is switched onto the newly constructed westbound Pinnacle Peak Road bridge for the short-term.

The purpose of this project is to improve safety and traffic flow as population growth and development in this area continues. Construction is occurring within existing ADOT right of way. ADOT does not need to acquire any additional property.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
