Check PresentationDeer Valley, AZ – John C. Lincoln’s Breast Health and Research Center received a $50,000 check from SmartPractice on Tuesday, April 1. The check presentation was held at the Breast Health and Research Center, 19646 North 27thAvenue.

The SmartPractice donation will support life saving programs and services including screenings, mastectomy kits, patient education materials and breast tissue research.

“We are so grateful for this generous contribution to the Breast Health and Research Center,” said Sherry Gage, RTRM, director of the Center. “Funding will be used for programs and services that the Center has become known for – programs and services that affirm our commitment to early detection and diagnosis.”

In 2013, the Center performed 29,369 exams. The Center is the first in Arizona to offer 3D-guided breast biopsies. This advanced, minimally invasive biopsy technique complements the 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) system currently used at the Center for the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.

The donation was made possible by a percentage of SmartPractice’s sales from Pink Ribbon products. After touring the Breast Health and Research Center, the company knew it wanted to make a contribution to the Center.
