As you may have noticed, family-owned and local favorite, LIMóN Urban Kitchen was closed briefly in late August for renovations to accommodate more guests, and to transition to a full-service eatery with a hostess and wait staff. Part of the changes included the addition of multiple televisions in both the dining area and the patio.

“There is not a bad seat in the house,” said Tommasina Mamola, one of the partners in the family business. “We also have every football package, so no one will miss their game, and many additional channels for basketball, soccer and more.”

To enjoy with the game, LIMóN offers a wide variety of starters, including wings, home-made beef taquitos, nachos, quesadillas and more. Drink specials include mimosa, margarita and tequila flights, and a build-your-own bloody Mary bar.

The restaurant originally opened in November 2017 as LIMóN Tacos & Tequila.

“We heard a lot of feedback from guests about what they loved – our expansive choices for building your own burrito, taco or bowl – and what they didn’t like, such has having to order alcoholic drinks from the bar separately. Several guests have been asking repeatedly for an expanded menu that included breakfast,” Mamola said. “We listened to what they had to say.

“We’ve kept many of the favorite staples such as burritos, street tacos and ensaladas, but have added a full breakfast menu as well as an Express Lunch Menu for those who have only short breaks in their work days,” she said.

Featured breakfast dishes include the Hangover Burger (bell peppers, onions, bacon, cheddar jack, fried egg, hash potatoes and Cajun ranch); the Chilaquiles Verdes, (corn tortilla chips simmered in green tomatillo salsa, chicken, cotija, crema, scrambled eggs and refried beans); as well as multiple choices for omelets. There are also a variety of pancakes to choose from including the cinnamon-infused Churro Pancakes, and Cannoli Pancakes.

The Express Lunch menu allows guests who order from it to collect their food quickly. One of the favorites on this take-out menu is the Street Tacos. Guests can build three tacos choosing from spicy pork chorizo, carne asada, chile lime shrimp, nopalitos, chicharron ranchero, green chile pork, chicken adobado, red chile pork, pork carnitas or beef barbacoa. The same ingredients are available for a burrito, LIMóN bowl or an ensalada.

The dinner menu consists of classic Southwestern favorites including Enchaladas Callejeras, (cheddar jack, cotija, lettuce, pickled salad, green spicy salsa, crema, carrots, potatoes, and grilled chicken). New additions include a Fish ‘n Chips basket, a variety of hamburgers, and choices for tacos, tortas and burritos.

A variety of starters, soups and salads round out the new menu. Visit www.limonurbankitchen.com to learn more. You can follow LIMóN on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
