Music Together in Phoenix offers family music classes Monday through Sunday, with morning and many afternoon classes, as well. MTinPhx has 10 family-music locations around town, preschool music classes at ASU, and outreach classes in South Phoenix and Maryvale, but their homebase and storefront studio is Kids.Play.Music. on Shea and Hwy 51. “New for this fall, we are thrilled to begin offering Music Together con Español, a mixed-ages Spanish/English bilingual Music Together class. Singing and dancing is a great way to support a young child’s development in many ways, and early exposure to a second language in early years boosts cognitive function. These early years are when a child can effortlessly begin to acquire language, instead of having to learn it!” shared Music Together in Phoenix center director and longtime neighborhood resident, Kathy Rowe.

Rhythm Kids 1 and 2 is a multicultural djembe drumming, singing and movement class offered Level 1 for preschool age children four and five years of age with a grownup, and Level 2 for children K to second grade. Children integrate and assimilate rhythm into their lives, as they learn multicultural drumming patterns, explore movement and dance while singing songs, play games based on music and drumming.

Families can sign up to visit a FREE preview class to experience the joy of making music with their child. RSVP online as space is limited: www.MusicTogetherInPhx.com.
