Drivers should plan for delays and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane closures on north- and southbound Interstate 17 from north of Black Canyon City to Bloody Basin Road (mileposts 245 to milepost 259) while pavement preservation work is underway.
The work is scheduled to occur nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, June 11, through Thursday, June 14.
I-17 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with partial closures. Flaggers will be in place directing traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
