My company & title is… Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Desert Ridge
A typical day in my life includes… morning workout, getting the kids off to school, then heading into Mathnasium to get the day started. It ends with dinner and homework.
My favorite thing about living/working in the Desert Ridge area is… You never have to leave the area – we have everything we need at our fingertips!
My favorite movie I could never get tired of watching and why… 16 Candles. It never gets old.
My family… is amazing and beautiful. I love them.
The business lesson I learned the hard way is… Coming from being a teacher, I had no idea where to start with marketing. I am still learning every day.
One thing I cannot live without… Coffee!
When I was younger, I wanted to be… I really liked the movie Top Gun, so I wanted to be a fighter pilot.
The song I would sing at Karaoke night is… It would have to be a Pearl Jam song since that is my favorite band. Any song would do.
The one person who motivates me is… Eric Thomas, Motivational Speaker. If you’re going to watch his YouTube videos, I recommend starting with “You Owe You.”
The last thing that made me laugh out loud was… my husband, he’s really funny.
The perfect day would be… sitting on a beach somewhere watching my kids surf and play in the water.
My first job was… Togo’s, my best friend’s dad owned it. My best friend and I had a lot of fun working there together.
My life… is always evolving! It’s busy, chaotic, imperfect, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m currently working on… becoming the best leader I can be.
The best gift I’ve ever received was… my supportive husband and family.
The actor I would want to play me in a movie of my life is… Julia Roberts – I love her laugh.
My dream vacation would be to… a secluded island near Fiji.
My words of wisdom to aspiring business owners… ask lots of questions, seek a mentor, and have patience. It will be a longer process than you think.
