SUMMARY:

The Hero Wall came together a few months ago, as the new community welcomed its first residents. Recognizing the high percentage of its residents that are veterans — 28 in total from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War — the staff created the Hero Wall, a visual reminder of the veterans’ bravery and service. Now everyone who lives, works and visits the community can recognize and thank its veteran residents.

The Hero Wall is part of an ongoing connection between The Enclave at Anthem and the military and its veterans. The community offers patriotic service projects on the first Tuesday of every month, through a partnership with Youth For Troops, a youth-led nonprofit volunteer and donation-based organization that serves veterans, service members, and their families, Prior to the unveiling, Youth For Troops students will interview a number of veterans and highlight their stories on social media.

The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living opened in 2017. It offers 159 comfortable, maintenance-free apartments, including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhood units. It is owned and operated by Denver-based Spectrum Retirement Communities, a leader and innovator in senior living ranked in the top 10 senior living companies for excellence by its residents and their families.
