Air France Introduces Phoenix-Paris Nonstop Flights

Air France has announced the launch of a nonstop service from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, starting May 23. This inaugural route, the first direct flight between Phoenix and France, will operate three times weekly using the Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner.
Flights are scheduled to leave Paris at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Phoenix at 12:10 p.m., with return flights departing Phoenix at 2:10 p.m. and arriving in Paris at 9:15 a.m. the next day. The service is expected to significantly enhance travel and business links between the two cities.
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego highlighted the route as a major milestone for the city, anticipating new opportunities for exploration and business. The Dreamliner aircraft will feature a three-class configuration with a total capacity of 279 seats. The new service is projected to contribute a $30 million annual economic impact to the Phoenix community.
New Free Fair Housing Workshops Announced
The city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department in conjunction with the Southwest Fair Housing Council presents its 2024 Fair Housing Workshops. Workshops are free and held remotely each month on Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. Each person must register online.
The three-hour workshops, provide information about fair housing practices and laws, and explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums, and mobile home parks.
It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants, or customers based on race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation, gender identity or expression), national origin, disability, familial status, or source of income.

Phoenix Implements New City Council District Boundaries

The city of Phoenix has put into effect new City Council District boundaries following a comprehensive process of community engagement and public input. Approved unanimously by the Phoenix City Council on September 26, 2023, these boundaries became operational on January 1 of this year.
Mandated to reassess and redraw district lines every ten years based on Census data, the city has adjusted the boundaries to ensure equal population distribution across districts. Residents can now view the new district boundaries and identify their Councilmember using an online search tool.
