HomeSmart real estate agents, Wendy Rubicam and Craig Willis, announced a North 32nd “Sheaborhood” food drive to benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank from November 1, 2019 through November 15, 2019.

Those interested in donating non-perishable food items can find collection boxes at:

• Tap House Kitchen (3131 E Shea Blvd.)
• Lovecraft: Ale House, Bottle Shop, Smoke Kitchen (32nd and Cactus)
• Craft Nights (3241 E Shea Blvd.)

On Saturday, November 9, Wendy and Craig will be collecting donations at Christy Cove Park from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

On Sunday, November 3 and November 10, both Tap House Kitchen and Lovecraft will offer a 10 percent discount off of food menu items for those who bring in donations of non-perishable goods.

Craft Nights will give those who purchase a ticket to a class and donate 10 non-perishable food items a free DIY Kit.

For those that wish to make a monetary donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank, you can make a quick and easy online donation directly to St. Mary’s Food Bank on our dedicated website at http://azhomesandliving.com/donate. Donations up to $400 are applicable for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit through the Arizona tax return.

“We are committed to giving back to local non-profits and are excited to have area businesses join us by collecting much needed food items for St. Mary’s,” Wendy said. “We love being a part of the vital North 32nd neighborhood and wanted to tap into local residents’ strong community values to get people out to support the Food Bank.”

The Food Bank’s most needed items include peanut butter, canned protein, canned ravioli, canned fruits and vegetables, canned or dried beans and cereal. Lack of consistent access to adequate food is a problem 2 million Arizonans are faced with every year, and Arizona ranks 47th of 50 states in the number of children who may not know where their next meal is coming from.
