With the goal of reconnecting community members and area businesses, the first North Phoenix Community Social will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Friday, November 12, at Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics & Dance Center, located at 15801 N. 32nd Street.
Spearheaded by North 32nd community members Margaret Anderson, Judy Peters, and Corinne Milner, and supported by Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics & Dance Center, the North Phoenix Community Social was born out of the desire to reconnect the community after the distancing of the last year and a half. “We are all ready to get out and see our neighbors and support our community,” says Margaret Anderson.
“With our special North Phoenix community in mind, we designed Sunrays’ new building with a multi-use outdoor space that’s perfect for the North Phoenix Community Social,” says Julie Witenstein, owner of Arizona Sunrays. “We love giving back to our neighbors who have supported us for over 30 years.”

Community Connections and Future Plans
“Arizona Sunrays is excited to be providing the venue for the first North Phoenix Community Social. We love the idea of bringing this community closer and continuing to get to know our neighbors,” says Kenzie Gassaway, general manager at Arizona Sunrays.
Anderson adds that their goal is to have this event on the second Friday of each month featuring different North Phoenix businesses, musical guests, restaurant/food trucks, and benefitting a different charity or organization.
“Bring your family and friends out, grab a bite to eat, listen to good music and join us,” Anderson says. “It’s time to reconnect!”
