With a rich history spanning over five decades, Tempe is gearing up to carry on its cherished tradition of honoring military veterans with the annual Veterans Day Parade. On Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m., the vibrant procession will kick off from the iconic ASU Gammage Auditorium, making its way north along Mill Avenue before culminating at the picturesque Tempe Beach Park, where patriotism will fill the air.

The Veterans Day Parade promises a diverse array of participants, showcasing the community’s unwavering support for those who have served in the armed forces. Among the parade’s esteemed participants are members of the Tempe City Council, spirited Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, talented local school marching bands, dedicated veterans groups, and an array of community members.

One of the heartwarming highlights of this event is the distribution of thousands of small flags to children and veterans along the parade route, symbolizing the deep gratitude and respect the community holds for its military heroes.

As the 2023 Veterans Day Parade approaches, Tempe invites one and all to come together in celebration of our military veterans. Join in the patriotic revelry, witness the dazzling displays, and pay tribute to those who have selflessly defended our nation. It’s a heartfelt tradition that continues to unite the community and honor those who have served our country with dedication and courage.
