Greystar Real Estate Partners has initiated the construction of City North Residential Phase II, a significant expansion of the City North residential complex in Phoenix. This development, in collaboration with SofMac Partners and Security Benefit Life Insurance Company, is set to enrich Phoenix’s housing market.
“We are excited for our partnership with SofMac Partners and Security Benefit Life Insurance Company on the second phase of the City North project,” says Billy Cundiff, managing director, Development, Greystar. “City North allows us to deliver a world-class residential development that is adjacent to office space, dining, entertainment, and shopping options, which stimulates the local economy and helps Phoenix continue to grow as a desirable destination.”
The project will introduce 348 new residences, supplementing the 272 units currently in progress in Phase I. The new offerings include diverse one- and two-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 621 to 1,439 square feet. The seven-story development is designed with five residential floors, a parking facility, and a rooftop amenity deck that provides sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.
The interior design of Phase II draws inspiration from boutique hotels, featuring elegant two-toned cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stylish tile backsplashes. Residents will have access to a comprehensive rooftop amenity deck, boasting a modern fitness center, a resort-style pool and spa, and relaxing outdoor cabanas.
The project’s ground-floor includes a clubhouse and coworking spaces, distinguished by their expansive, light-filled design. This phase of the development also pays homage to Phoenix’s desert landscape through its architectural and landscaping choices.
Conveniently located within the City North master plan, the new phase ensures residents have easy access to a variety of amenities, including retail stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and fitness studios along High Street. The community’s proximity to major employers like Mayo Clinic, Discount Tire, Republic Services, and American Express further enhances its appeal.
Preleasing for City North Residential Phase II is anticipated to start in late 2025, with the project expected to reach completion in the second quarter of 2026. The design and execution of the project involve Lawrence Lake Interiors for interior design, Architects Orange for architecture, and ABLA for landscape architecture.
This new phase of development marks a pivotal moment in Phoenix’s urban evolution, offering a blend of modern living and convenience. Greystar’s commitment to creating comprehensive living solutions is evident in the City North Residential Phase II project, poised to become a cornerstone of Phoenix’s residential landscape.
