As the Cactus League’s final pitches are thrown, the Desert Sol Jam is gearing up to bring an unforgettable day of music, food, and philanthropy to Scottsdale. Scheduled for Saturday, March 23, at the newly renovated outdoor amphitheater in Scottsdale Civic Center’s East Bowl, 7380 East Second St., this event promises a musical celebration from 2 p.m. onwards.
Desert Sol Jam is not just any music festival. It’s a gathering that encapsulates the spirit of American roots, blending genres like country, rock, and Americana across seven dynamic bands. Headlining the event are Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, known for their energetic performances and heartfelt lyrics. Joining them will be Cody Canada & The Departed, The White Buffalo, Willy & Micky Braun, alongside The Cole Trains, Waves in April, and Prefect, each bringing their unique sounds to create a diverse musical landscape.
A portion of the proceeds will support The Joy Bus, an Arizona-based nonprofit dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of homebound cancer patients. By delivering nutritious meals and a warm smile, The Joy Bus aims to alleviate some of the challenges faced by those battling cancer. Founded in 2011 by award-winning chef Jennifer Caraway, in memory of her friend Joy, The Joy Bus is an example of the power of community and the healing nature of good food and companionship.
