June Days returns to Old Town Scottsdale! This June, the city of Scottsdale presents its annual summer spectacular featuring a variety of events — from wine tastings and art exhibits to crafting workshops, live performances, fitness classes, family-friendly outings and more — celebrating all there is to see and do during the summertime. Important Information About Scottsdale’s Upcoming Elections
With the candidate field set for Scottsdale’s July 30 primary election, voters should be aware of several important deadlines to ensure their participation.

Key Dates:
• Voter Registration Deadline: July 1
• Early Voting Begins: July 3
• Last Day to Request an Early Ballot: July 19
• Mail Back Early Ballots By: July 23
• In-Person Early Voting Ends: July 26

To vote in the primary election, ensure you are registered by July 1. Visit beballotready.vote to verify your registration status. Early voting starts on July 3. If voting by mail, request an early ballot by July 19 and return it by July 23. In-person early voting is available until July 26. Independent or Party Not Declared voters must request a party or city-only ballot to participate in the July 30 primary.

Scottsdale Student Wins Valley Metro’s Transit Wrap Contest

Valley Metro announced Jackson Washburn, a student at Chaparral High School, as the first-place winner of the 24th Annual Design a Transit Wrap Contest. Washburn’s artwork, created under the guidance of art teacher Carson Bilger, was chosen from 167 entries submitted by students across 12 cities and towns.

Washburn’s winning design will be featured prominently on both a bus and a light rail vehicle for an entire year, showcasing his talent to the community and thousands of transit riders daily.

“We are excited to display Jackson’s stunning artwork on our transit vehicles,” says Valley Metro representative. “This contest highlights the creativity of young artists in our region and brings vibrant, unique designs to our public transportation system.”
