HI, MY NAME IS… Joey Lucidi
I’VE LIVED IN PEORIA FOR 16 YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… it has been such an incredible place to raise our family. We have been blessed with amazing neighbors at every home, and have created some lifetime friends along the way! The ability to work, go to church, have fun and live all in Peoria is really an amazing thing.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES…taking my little one to school as often as I can, then heading to the office. Owning restaurants today is much different than owning a restaurant 12 years ago, for me at least. Most of my day is spent dealing with business issues, growing pains, financial items, and overseeing the future of our company rather than the day to day operations. Luckily, I have the BEST team in the valley that helps manage everything side by side with me.
MY FAMILY IS…my life. I married my wife almost 19 years ago, and we have four beautiful daughters, Isabella, Gianna, Olivia, and Amelia. These girls keep Tanya and I busy and on our toes!
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT… besides my family, would be golf. I love the game, but more love the time with my buddies. It is a great release from work, and without it I am not sure I could find a way to decompress.
MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY… “Four Christmases,” but only at Christmas time. I think the best part is watching it with my wife. We know every line and I know what’s going to make her laugh. It starts off our holiday season every year!
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE…a professional golfer. I was fortunate enough to get a full scholarship and played NCAA Division 1, and tried to play a bit after college, but it wasn’t in the cards. But I believe golf played a huge role in being successful in the business world.
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… nope, can’t stand karaoke.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my dad. It’s a cheesy answer, but true. I have yet to meet anyone with the discipline and work ethic he has. He is an amazing role model for me and even as he changes his priorities later in life, I am still learning from him today.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… listening to my teenage daughters joke around and tease each other. We have thick skin at the Lucidi house, so they get some good digs in.
THE PERFECT DAY IS… breakfast with Tanya, golf with the boys, then a pool night with my family and a BBQ.
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS…my church, CCV. I started going there 13 years ago and it has completely changed my life.
MY LIFE IS…pretty awesome.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS…well, it was kind of a gift. My uncle sold me his original 1966 Corvette Stingray for a price well below market value. It sure felt like a gift!
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… I could stay in Italy for long periods of time!
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… Trust, but verify. I use it at work obviously, but in so many other areas of life.
