Benevilla, a nonprofit dedicated to serving older adults and their caregivers, is excited to announce its Caregiver Connect event, taking place on Friday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sun City West. This free event is open to the public and aims to empower caregivers and older adults with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to live their healthiest and most vibrant lives.
The Caregiver Connect event will feature a wide range of health and wellness resources tailored to the unique needs of older adults. Attendees will have access to expert advice and informative exhibits from Benevilla’s preferred partners, providing insights into strategies for maintaining and improving health. Additionally, participants will hear from leading health experts who will share the latest care strategies and information on vital health topics.
To enhance the experience, breakfast and snacks will be provided to all attendees, ensuring that participants can enjoy refreshments while learning and connecting.

• Helena Morgan, B.S., COTA/L from Hospice of the Valley will present “Avoiding Conflict Using Skills Learned from IMPROV,” offering practical communication techniques to reduce stress and enhance caregiving interactions.
• Stephanie De Santiago, DNP, AGNP-C from Banner Sun Health Research Institute will deliver an informative talk on the “Overview of Diagnosis, Treatment, and Progression of Alzheimer’s Disease,” providing valuable insights into understanding and managing the condition.
