For the sixth consecutive year, the company gifted a local veteran a fully remodeled shower, providing a transformative, custom bathing system designed to enhance accessibility, independence, and comfort.
Luis Frias, a US Marine Corps veteran who served from 1999 to 2007, was selected as the 2024 recipient. After his home was recently flooded, the renovation couldn’t have come at a better time. Now medically retired, Luis dedicates his time to assisting fellow veterans in navigating VA benefits and services in the Phoenix area.
“Being chosen for Baths for the Brave means a lot to me and my family. It’s a blessing at a time when we could really use a win,’’
said Luis, a father of four.
The remodel took place on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, when Jacuzzi’s team worked together to complete the remodel in a single day. Over the past several years, Baths for the Brave has helped nearly 100 veterans across the country, providing them with walk-in showers and other accessibility features to improve daily living.
Joseph Downey, Senior Director of National Sales for Jacuzzi Bath Remodel of Arizona, emphasized the significance of the program, saying, “While we can never truly repay the sacrifices our military men and women have made, this is our way of saying thank you. It’s an honor to be able to give back and make
a difference in their lives.’’
Baths for the Brave is a partnership between multiple home improvement companies nationwide, aimed at easing the daily challenges veterans face by
making their bathrooms safer and more accessible.
