Get ready to don your finest hat and bowtie for the 6th Annual Derby & Diamonds Kentucky Derby Day on May 6, from noon to 5 p.m., all in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event promises a day of excitement, good food, and entertainment, as attendees gather to celebrate the grand Southern tradition of the Kentucky Derby and raise funds for a worthy cause.
Emceed by Catherine Anaya, the Paradise Valley event, held at 8915 N. Invergordon Rd., will feature mouthwatering food provided by Tarbell’s and live music from The MacDaddy Os. Attendees can enjoy the race on a massive 16-foot viewing screen, ensuring they won’t miss a moment of the action.
Derby & Diamonds is a dynamic group committed to raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to funding lifesaving blood cancer research. Their ultimate goal is to transform a cancer diagnosis into a question with a simple answer: “Do you want the shot or the pill?”
The event features a BBQ, open bar, “betting,” prizes, and an auction, offering a variety of ways for guests to contribute to the cause while enjoying the festivities. As the “greatest 2 minutes in sports” unfolds, participants can partake in friendly betting and compete for exciting prizes.
Due to limited parking availability, attendees are encouraged to schedule an Uber or make other transportation arrangements. Cash is preferred for speed at the cashier window, though checks and credit will also be accepted. Please note that after noon on May 4, tickets will only be available for purchase at the door.
