Designed as a natural extension of Scottsdale’s historic art district, Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town boasts 177 spacious guestrooms and suites that strike a balance between contemporary elegance and impeccable design on the northeast corner of First Street and Marshall Way. Along with approximately 2,000 square-feet of beautifully designed meeting space, a Southwest-infused signature restaurant, and expansive rooftop bar and lounge, Canopy Scottsdale is the first new-build hotel in the area in more than a decade.
Inspired by the community that surrounds it, Canopy Scottsdale brings Old Town’s personality indoors by intricately combining dramatic neutral elements with curated artwork by local artists and a rich color palette inspired by Arizona’s sundrenched vistas. Designed by Dallas-based Studio 11 Design, furnishings throughout the hotel mimic an upscale, yet familiar ambiance, while connecting to the local environment through rich crimson and deep gold pops of color. A variety of wood and metal tones are incorporated throughout the hotel to stay true to the Canopy brand.
The hotel’s guestrooms and suites blend a mid-century modern aesthetic with an appreciation of simplicity and elegance of nature while paying homage to essential elements distinctive to the city – particularly with the signature “Canopy” headboard that is fashioned from eclectic local wood and etched with copper and up-lighting to replicate the sun retiring behind Camelback Mountain.
Canopy Scottsdale’s opening introduced two new dining venues to Scottsdale’s flourishing restaurant scene under the direction of Valley Chef Patrick Gaudet. Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails, the hotel’s signature restaurant located on the ground floor, is an American brasserie inspired by the Southwest and features thoughtfully curated dishes highlighting local flavors set in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic arched wood ceilings, contemporary furnishings, sleek marble counter tops, and subtle touches of copper throughout, harkening to the restaurant’s maiden roots. Within the bar is also a grab-n-go counter offering locally roasted coffee and artisanal breakfast treats and pastries.
Perched atop of the hotel’s seventh floor and offering panoramic Valley views, Outrider Rooftop Lounge is the new must-visit spot in Scottsdale. Its chic ambiance embodies the charm of the surrounding arts districts and is underscored with casual seating, a roaring fire pit, social spaces with turf, and a custom bar that shares the spotlight with an Instagram-worthy mural. Outrider is open to the public for posh plates, handcrafted cocktails and local beers, all with a side of sky watching magic courtesy of its prime location and sweeping views of the iconic Camelback Mountain – making it the most picturesque place to take in the Valley’s skyline and stunning sunsets.
Canopy Scottsdale guests will find themselves just a short bike ride or walk away from world-class dining, shopping and entertainment, including the Museum of the West, Scottsdale Stadium, and Scottsdale Fashion Square.
Canopy Scottsdale is located at 7142 E. 1st Street in Scottsdale.
