This fall, Desert Ridge Marketplace hosts a dynamic lineup of community-focused events for families and shoppers to experience all season long. Enjoy annual favorites like the pumpkin patch with a new retro twist, recycling festival, car wash benefit, trick-or-treating, and more.
Beginning Oct. 14, wander through the 4th annual Pumpkin Patch in The District near AMC Theatres. Pick a pumpkin and enter the “Best Pumpkin in The Patch” painting contest benefiting The Singletons, an organization meeting the needs of single-parent families battling cancer.
Plus, the spooky fun continues on Oct. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the annual Creep Candy Crawl. Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls are welcome to venture out to The District at Desert Ridge Marketplace for an evening of spooky surprises. Dress to impress in creative, fun costumes for the annual Halloween costume contest and trick-or-treating. Plus, enjoy Halloween-themed music, dancing, games, prizes, and more.
On Oct. 15 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., join Keep Phoenix Beautiful, the city of Phoenix and Desert Ridge Marketplace for the semi-annual I Recycle Phoenix Festival. Keep Phoenix Beautiful will be accepting a variety of items to be recycled or donated to local nonprofit organizations. Items to recycle, repurpose and donate range from electronics, old magazines, gently used adult bicycles, sporting equipment, office supplies, lightly used household items, toys, and document shredding. Non-perishable foods, hygiene products, and used clothing will also be accepted for Nourish Phoenix Food and Clothing Bank.
From Oct. 17 to Oct. 21, Paul Horton, KPHO CBS 5’s Chief Meteorologist, will roll up his sleeves and wash hundreds of cars in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona. The event will take place at Desert Ridge Marketplace near Kohl’s, on the east side of the shopping center. Each car wash is free, but donations are encouraged to support BBBS. Paul’s Car Wash will also feature live entertainment and appearances throughout the week.
Round out October with Fine Art Fridays in The District. Every third Friday, Desert Ridge Marketplace partners with The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance for an evening art market spotlighting local artists. Purchase wonderful pieces and enjoy live music at The District Stage.
