On May 5, the Cave Creek Museum, in collaboration with Kiwanis Family Fun Days, will host a special Mother’s Day Tea from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate mothers and grandmothers in the community. The museum, located at 6140 E. Skyline Dr., in Cave Creek invites families to enjoy a traditional English Tea in honor of Mother’s Day.
Evelyn Johnson, the executive director of the museum, emphasizes the importance of this event as a tribute to the maternal figures in our lives. “This family event is to honor our mothers and grandmothers. Please bring your children and join us for an old-fashioned English Tea at the museum in honor of Mother’s Day. We will be serving tea and lemonade, and each child also will have an opportunity to design a small terracotta pot and choose a succulent plant to pot as a take home gift for Mom.”
Thanks to the generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree, admission to the “Mother’s Day Tea” is free, allowing the entire community to partake in this family-oriented celebration.
The Cave Creek Museum has been a cornerstone of the community for over 53 years, dedicated to preserving the rich history and culture of the Cave Creek Mining District and the surrounding foothills area through education, research, and interactive exhibits. This event is part of the museum’s broader mission to engage with the community and bring history to life in meaningful ways.
