Excitement builds as the city gears up for the much anticipated Chandler #AZ48 Half Marathon & 5K event on Sunday, Oct. 22. Participants, supporters, and spectators should take note of the following schedule and key details to ensure a smooth and memorable race experience.
Race Week Schedule:
Monday, Oct 16:
Deadline Alert! October 16 is the last day for transfers. No exceptions will be made.
Saturday, Oct 21:
Packet Pickup: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., racers can pick up their race packets at the host hotel, Downtown Chandler Hilton Garden Inn, located at 150 S. Arizona Ave.
Special Reminder: There will be no race day packet pickup. However, for those who can’t make it on Saturday, a limited number of Sunday pickup reservations are available.
Sunday, Oct 22:
Early Birds: Reserved packets can be picked up at the timing tent from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Race Central: The pulse of the race will be at the Downtown Chandler Stage, located at 178 E Commonwealth Ave.
Race Timings:
6:30 a.m.: The half marathon takes off!
7 a.m.: 5K racers hit the pavement.
10:15 a.m.: The Half Marathon course will close. A gentle reminder to participants that there’s a pace requirement of 17 minutes per mile for the Half Marathon. Runners not meeting this pace may be asked by staff or Chandler PD to exit the course.
