Is there anything better than enjoying a breakfast burrito and coffee on Saturday morning? What about doing so while checking out the coolest cars the Valley has to offer? On the second Saturday of each month, from 7-10 a.m., avid car enthusiasts gather in North Scottsdale to appreciate a bevy of hot rods, classic and muscle cars at Alpio’s at Troon. Participants also enjoy delicious breakfast treats including coffee, breakfast burritos and donuts while marveling at the remarkable vehicles.

Alpio Barbara, president of Redwood General Tire, started the Alpio’s at Troon: Cars and Coffee event in October 2018.

“We never expected to have such a great turnout,” says Barbara. “This started as a group of guys who had coffee together a couple times a week. One day I had the idea to do a cars and coffee gathering at my event space. We had a great time showing off our 20 cars and we agreed to start Alpio’s at Troon: Cars and Coffee. In just a couple of years, the event has expanded from our measly 20 cars to over 150. It’s a true spectacle for any car enthusiast.”

This event is not only a great way to socialize with likeminded people, but also to give back to the community. Alpio’s at Troon: Cars and Coffee helps raise funds to donate to various nonprofits in the Valley. Each month, Alpio’s at Troon and other local businesses match donations made at the event. So far, they have donated $60,000 to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent de Paul, and others.

The next Alpio’s at Troon: Cars and Coffee event is on March 13 beginning at 7 a.m. at Alpio’s at Troon, located at 10452 E. Jomax. It takes place monthly. For more information, visit their website at alpiosattroon.com/cars-coffee or follow their Facebook page @AlpiosAtTroon.
