Turf Paradise, the cornerstone of the Valley’s horseracing scene, has remained open, despite offseason closure discussions. Although it’s unknown if this is the track’s last season offering live horse racing, the equestrian venue is preparing for The Stella Artois Derby DayClub: Presented by Sanderson Lincoln, on May 4.
As the Valley’s sole live horserace track, Turf Paradise is uniquely positioned to offer an unmatched celebration for the 150th Anniversary of the Kentucky Derby. Fans of the sport and newcomers alike are invited to experience the thrill of the races in an authentic horseracing setting.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the races from the best vantage points under a Scottsdale Polo Party-style tent within the Sanderson Lincoln Black Label Lounge. Those opting for table reservations will be treated to a complimentary bottle of champagne to toast the most famed horse race in the country.
Turf Paradise eagerly anticipates welcoming guests back for this springtime tradition. The event not only celebrates the historic Kentucky Derby but also signals a continuing legacy for Turf Paradise as a destination for horseracing fans in the Valley. Despite uncertainties about the future, the track stands as a symbol of the enduring appeal of the sport in the Valley.
Turf Paradise is located at 1501 W. Bell Rd. The Derby DayClub opens at 10:45 a.m. with live racing beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Kentucky Derby Broadcast is live at 4:24 p.m.
