Desert Hills Presbyterian Church (DHPC) offers a free Vacation Bible School for children in grades first through sixth. Scheduled for June 11 to 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily, the program promises a fun-filled week of Bible stories, energizing games, delicious snacks, lively music, and friendship-building activities.
Located at 34605 N. Tom Darlington Rd., at the scenic North Scottsdale-Carefree border, DHPC provides a beautiful setting for this enriching event. The church’s picturesque campus, nestled at the foot of the stunning boulders, offers a welcoming and inspiring environment for children to learn and play.
DHPC has a longstanding tradition of offering a rich calendar of events for all age groups. Every Sunday during the 9 a.m. service, children up to fifth grade can engage in worship experiences designed just for them, featuring age-appropriate Bible stories, engaging praise, and hands-on activities. Older children and teenagers in grades sixth through 12th can participate in DHPC’s student ministries, which provide various opportunities to deepen their faith and connect with peers and supportive adults.
Beyond youth programs, DHPC fosters community engagement through initiatives like Fitness at the Rocks and Arts at the Rocks. Fitness at the Rocks offers a variety of classes aimed at enhancing physical, spiritual, and social well-being, encouraging participants to stay active and healthy. Arts at the Rocks is an annual series that showcases professional artists and musicians, bringing high-quality cultural experiences to the DHPC congregation and the broader North Scottsdale/Carefree community. Most Arts at the Rocks events are free, making them accessible to everyone.
