HI, MY NAME IS… Amity Dalton.
I’VE LIVED IN ARIZONA ALMOST MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… I love the heat! The hotter the better! Also, my favorite food is Mexican food. I could easily eat it every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Arizona has some of the best Mexican food around!
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… chasing around my 3-year-old boy, Atlas, snuggling my French Bull Dog, Piper, and creating adventures and memories with my husband, Sam. When I am not spending time with my amazing family, I am working for one of the best organizations in Arizona, MEB Management Services. As vice president of new development, I oversee MEB’s build-to-rent properties and help Arizonans find a home that fits their needs.
MY FAMILY IS… everything to me! We lift each other up, support each other and celebrate successes together.
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… music! It is like therapy to me; it can bring me back to a moment in time and gives me life!
MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY IS… “Grease” because my twin sister, our friends, and I would sing and dance to it non-stop growing up. I also love “Bridesmaids” because it makes me belly laugh every single time I watch it.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… a recording artist, as I have always sung and danced. I also always knew I wanted to help people and have an impact in people’s lives.
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” by Whitney Houston.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my mom! She is so selfless, the hardest worker I know, has the gift of encouraging and lifting everyone up, and wants to help everyone she can. She is truly the best and I am so blessed to call her my mom.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… the million Instagram reels my husband sent me.
THE PERFECT DAY IS… either on a beach, or on some adventure, whether it be traveling, on our RZR, or doing something spontaneous with family and friends!
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… BloomKidz. Their mission is to help improve the quality-of-life and wellness trajectory for children with different abilities through a multi-disciplinary, team-based approach, direct therapy services and fun, functional fitness. This nonprofit is close to my heart because my 3 year old was recently diagnosed with autism and they have a compassionate care and holistic approach to support children with diverse intellectual and developmental abilities.
MY LIFE IS… all about God and people. Nurturing every relationship in my life is important, but also being kind to others is something I value. You never know what someone is going through, so a simple smile or act of kindness can go a long way.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… our baby boy! We prayed for him for so long and seven years later he miraculously came to us. He is the sweetest and most loving little boy, and we are so grateful.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… exploring Italy and learning about the history and culture, eating the delicious food, drinking wine, and lounging at the Amalfi Coast.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… it’s not about you! When I took a leadership role at MEB, I learned that it is about those you are leading and being a servant leader. You get what you give! Focus on your team and employees and keeping them happy and in turn they will make the customers and clients happy!
