HI, MY NAME IS… Veronica Leon.
I’VE LIVED IN ARIZONA FOR ALMOST MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… I love everything about Arizona. There is so much to do and so many places to explore without driving far.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… keeping up with two kids: my daughter, Alea, 12, and son, Jovani, 5. And, creating family adventures, sports, and life with a family of four. When I am not spending time with my amazing family, I am working and multi-tasking on multiple business aspects. As a small business owner, editor, and publisher of local publications; “Macaroni Kid Scottsdale” and “Macaroni Kid Tempe,” I explore, create, and publish all fun things in Arizona for all ages to explore. I also manage and help my husband’s business with mobile homes and I’m very involved in my kids’ parent school association.
MY FAMILY IS… everything to me! I am a huge supporter, and we love lifting each other up to be successful in everything we do.
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… music! I love all types of music and love the energy and relaxation it brings me!
MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY IS… “The Notebook” because it’s a heartwarming and emotional tale of love enduring through time. I also love “Bad Moms” because it’s a comedy film and I enjoy the humor and relatable take on the challenges of motherhood. It explores themes of friendship, parenting, and self-discovery while delivering plenty of laughs.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… an elementary teacher, as I always knew I wanted to help kids and have an impact in kids’ lives.
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “Vivir Mi Vida” by Marc Anthony.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my husband! He is so selfless and the hardest worker I know. He has the heart of encouraging and lifting me and a person who wants to help everyone he can. He is truly the best and I am so blessed to be married to him.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… the million TikTok videos my husband or daughter sends me.
THE PERFECT DAY IS… on some adventure, beach, or a spontaneous trip with family and friends!
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… NCL Scottsdale. They focus on fostering mother-daughter relationships through volunteerism, leadership development, and philanthropic activities. Its mission is to empower women and their daughters to become confident, capable, and compassionate leaders. This nonprofit is close to my heart because it’s allowing me to help my daughter build confidence and be a compassionate leader. She has opportunities to participate in various community service projects and philanthropic endeavors, while working to make a positive impact in the community.
MY LIFE IS… all about family and friends. I nurture every relationship in my life and try to be there for everyone.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… my kids! I love being a mom and wife.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… exploring Greece and learning about the history and culture, while eating delicious meals and drinks and exploring all it has to offer.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… strive for continuous self-improvement and lifelong learning. Embrace personal growth and learning throughout your life so it can lead to greater fulfillment and success.
