Hi, my name is… Cindy Morgan. I am the owner of Shadow Mountain Auto Service alongside my husband, Curt Morgan.
I’ve had my business in North 32nd for 13 years and I love it because… The people in the area are such nice people that it makes what we do enjoyable.
A typical day in my life includes… Working at Shadow Mountain Auto Service (shadowmountainauto.com) and handling our Redbox+ roll-off dumpster business. Other than that, I am a homebody.
My family is… The glue of my soul. I do not have a large family but those who are in my family, including friends, is what life is about. Without them my life would not have the meaning and fulfillment it does.
One thing I cannot live without is… Enjoying the wildlife of the outdoors. My home is located near the base of a mountain, so I love to watch all the critters that enjoy our backyard each day.
My favorite movie I could never get tired of watching and why… “Ready Player One.” My husband Curt and I can watch that movie regularly and never get tired of it. It is fun and you can just relax and go with it. It also has so many great 80s and 90s references and you see more each time you watch it.
When I was younger I wanted to be… A horse trainer. I know, I sound like so many girls when we were young! I never went that route as it was a tough industry to get into not growing up in that world. So instead, I went into media for several years and then worked at an animal hospital before opening Shadow Mountain Auto Service.
The song I would sing at Karaoke night would be… “B*itch” by Meredith Brooks. I have always liked that song and I know all the words, too.
The person who motivates me is… My husband. He is my rock and is there for me no matter what. He is my biggest cheerleader and I wouldn’t be who I am without him and his complete support of me.
The last thing that made me laugh out loud was… My team at Shadow Mountain Auto Service. They are great and make me laugh every day. Laughter is such an important part of life, and it makes my heart happy that the shop is such an upbeat place.
The perfect day… Is chilling at home with my husband. We are dorks and have a great time running around the house entertaining each other. My favorite place to be away from home is the sand dunes where we drive our off-road vehicles side by side.
My favorite local nonprofit is… Vet Tix. It is a nonprofit organization that helps veterans with tickets to all kinds of fun events. Michael Focareto and his team have done such tremendous work over the years for our veterans, and he is also part of the North 32nd community!
The best gift I ever received was… Having my daughter Alexis. She is now in her 20s and is such a wonderful, kindhearted, and strong individual. We are very close and I am beyond thankful for that and the love that we share.
My dream vacation would be… To take off in our motorhome for two years and hit every Nascar track while seeing so much of this amazing country.
The best piece of advice I have ever received… You are never a failure if you never quit. My motto is that “attitude is everything.”
