HI, MY NAME IS… Susie Timm
I’VE LIVED IN ARCADIA, ON THE CUSP OF PARADISE VALLEY, FOR A MONTH AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… I love my new home, the neighborhood is richly diverse and very close to the neighborhoods I visit the most and the places in the Valley I love.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… a very unique workday that could be in my office or could be spent meeting with clients at their businesses—some time spent on zoom or phone calls, and a lot of time creating opportunities for media coverage for clients. I also play tennis at least five days a week, and captain three tennis teams, so it’s a very busy day from start to finish.
MY FAMILY IS… awesome. I am blessed that my parents are still in my life (as they are in their 80s) and though I wish they lived here, I speak to them often.
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… the Tennis Channel.
MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY…“Clueless.” I can quote every line. It reminds me of college and the 90s—great memories.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… a firefighter.
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT… anything by Carrie Underwood or the Dixie Chicks. I have a similar vocal range.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… myself, I have never needed external motivation to get things done. I am a major type-A/self-starter/overachiever type.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… the show “Murders in the Building.”
MY PERFECT DAY IS… spent in Hawaii or on Nantucket. I need a beach, great seafood, people I love, and a beautiful sunset.
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation. They do amazing work for kids in Foster Care–other favorites include Phoenix Rescue Mission and Scottsdale Charros.
MY LIFE IS… always an adventure. I never take a minute of it for granted.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… I enjoy gifts that are heartfelt. I do not need anything showy or expensive, just something that has meaning.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… one week in Maui on the ocean in a massive house with a tennis court, then another week on Kauai with the same sort of set up– a private chef, lots of tennis, and surrounded by people I love. Oh, and someone to make me mai tais on demand.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… hustle hard, live above reproach, have fun, get enough sleep, and never, ever sweat the small stuff.
