HI, MY NAME IS… Lilach Mazor Power.
I’VE LIVED IN ARCADIA, AROUND THE CORNER FROM PARADISE VALLEY, FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… it is a great neighborhood. It is close to the best restaurants and bars, and I can easily get to Biltmore or downtown. It is also a family-friendly neighborhood, and my kids get to ride their bikes to see their friends. It’s the best of both worlds.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… I wake up around 5 a.m. and do an hour of exercise––either Pilates or hot yoga. I drive 25 minutes to my office, and I use that time to listen to the news, a book, or a podcast. I arrive at the office around 7:45 a.m. and I usually have a bunch of meetings and around 150 emails daily related to running the business. The afternoons are often filled with business gathering so I try to pick up my boys at 4 p.m. so I can spend time with them, even if it’s just the ride home before I head out again. I try to cook homemade dinners every night I’m home. I love our family dinners and I am on a mission to teach my boys how to cook their favorite dishes. After the boys are in bed, I’ll have a glass of wine with my husband or while I work. I’m in bed by 11 p.m. I need my six hours of sleep, so I am strict about my bedtime.
MY FAMILY IS… my WHY. I am happily married to the one man in the world (I mean it!) who can tolerate my risky personality and supports me 100% throughout this entrepreneurship rollercoaster. I have two amazing boys: Shai (13) and Ben (8). I am loving this stage in parenthood and really enjoy hanging with them. The rest of my family is all in Israel. It is hard living so far from them. My sisters are my best friends, and my parents are my rock.
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… coffee. I need my coffee.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… the CEO of McDonald’s. I know, it’s weird, but it’s true. I love successful companies and thought I would love to run one when I grow up. I guess I was always attracted to debate driven industries.
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “I Did It My Way,” by Frank Sinatra.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… one person is tough; can I choose my team instead? My commitment to making their lives and livelihood better is what pushes me every single morning to make magic happen.
THE PERFECT DAY IS… traveling somewhere new.
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… Arizona Burn Foundation. I was so impressed by their work I joined the board.
MY LIFE IS… a crazy roller coaster. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… a ring from one of my favorite employees with the word “Badass” on it. I wear it all the time.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… anywhere new, where I can still work online, and explore new places, culture, and food. I live to travel, and I hope I’m instilling the same in my boys.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” My parents really made me believe it is totally fine to be who I am, which is definitely different. It took me a while to really get it and embrace it. I’m thankful for their guidance.
