While the calendar says September, the temperatures still say summer months here in the valley and one of the coolest spots to chill is the AquaRidge Waterpark at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort.

AquaRidge is filled with adventure and fun. There is a lazy river, multiple pool areas including the Wildfire Grove which has two pools and waterfall, Sedona Springs and the exclusive adults-only Sky Island. Sky Island is 21+ and there are perks such as a glass of champagne or sparkling water when you arrive to kick off the wonderful experience.

The Havasu Playground, great for kids and adults alike, features three waterslides:
Gullywasher: This is the only dual-person vertical wall tube slide at a resort west of the Mississippi. The Gullywasher brings together a traditional serpentine with a heart-racing plunge that launches riders up a vertical wall for a show-stopping finish and jaw-dropping photos.
The Drop: This high-speed slide accelerates riders with twists and turns from top to bottom with a straight steep drop. Perfect for thrill-seekers!

Little Eddy: A beginner body slide for younger kids or adults with gentle slopes and tiny turns.

The best part of all is that you do not need to be a guest of the resort to enjoy what they have to offer. The AquaRidge WaterPark offers day passes to enjoy what there is to offer on property. One of the best things you can do during your visit is to indulge in a little bit of luxury by renting a cabana or a daybed. This is the true sense of relaxation and a great way to enjoy the pool without having to stay directly in the sun.

Hours of operation vary depending on the day and area of the AquaRidge WaterPark. Note: there are some height requirements with the waterslides so be sure to check those out before heading to the park.
