Quintero Golf Club – ranked as the number one public golf course in Arizona by Golf Digest – is excited to celebrate two decades of unforgettable golf experiences in 2020. The Rees Jones design sits on 828 acres with a layout that is undeniably difficult and is nestled in the serene foothills of Peoria, Arizona surrounded by the Hieroglyphic Mountains.
The once exclusive, invite only luxury golf club, opened in 2000 as Quintero Golf and Country Club. After a few years, the original and former owner had trouble grappling the steep costs as the economy plummeted, and the course was bought in 2011 by a Scottsdale company, Infinity Capital Golf Resources LLC, in efforts to save the floundering property.
To rake the course out of the bunkers, new management initiated dynamic pricing, opened it to the public, invested in advanced golf technology and more. In just a couple years, the picturesque property became a raving success receiving recognition as one of the best and most challenging courses in the nation. The nationally ranked golf course attracts notable athletes and public figures from far and wide, including Roy Green, Marcus Allen, Tom Hoge, and Ricky Barns to conquer the beautiful beast.
The course also recently won several spots in Arizona Foothills’ “Best In Sports 2019” list, including Best 19th Hole, Best Public Course, and Most Scenic Course.
