Norterra Canyon School, 2200 W. Maya Way, in Phoenix, is all set to engage minds and spark creativity with its STEM Day on October 13, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Miss Arizona, Tiffany Ticlo, will be gracing the event, stepping beyond the crown to lead coding lessons, assist in constructing mesmerizing lava lamps, and partake in a variety of hands-on STEM activities alongside the students. Her involvement promises to add a layer of excitement and inspiration to the day’s proceedings.
But that’s not all! The school’s fifth- to eighth-grade students will be giving attendees a sneak peek of their upcoming musical performance, “Matilda.” This showcase promises to be a harmonious blend of arts and science, as students demonstrate both their STEM prowess and theatrical talents.
Additionally, the eighth-grade students will exhibit their engineering aptitude with an intriguing display: cardboard chair designs crafted through a rigorous engineering design process. This showcase promises to highlight the real-world applications of STEM principles, demonstrating the creativity and innovation that STEM education fosters.
