Live Music in the park
Grab your chairs and blankets and head to The Park at PV (formerly Paradise Valley Mall) for free live music! Every Saturday in November and December from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., enjoy music from a variety of local bands and DJs. The lineup includes favorites including Dirty Yachtin’ Scoundrels, The Chadwicks, and The Flying Squirrels Trio. While you’re there, be sure to grab a snack or bite to go from one of the new PV restaurants!

The Town of Paradise Valley annual Veterans’ Appreciation Vintage Car Show is back for the 19th Year!
The Veteran’s Appreciation Vintage Car Show is one of the annual signature events with the Town of Paradise Valley. The 2024 Car Show will take place Saturday, November 9 from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Parking lot at 6401 E, Lincoln Dr.
This annual show features pre-1983 sports, antique, special interest, and race cars, and motorcycles.
Those interested in participating can register a vehicle at l.townofpv.com/veteransdaycarshow There is a $50 per car registration fee, with proceeds benefiting the Military Assistance Mission, and Sentinels of Freedom.
Military Assistance Mission provides financial assistance and morale aid to Arizona military and their families and our wounded heroes.
Sentinels of Freedom works to empower severely wounded and injured post-9/11 veterans during their transition into civilian life. Through personalized and comprehensive support packages tailored to each veteran they provide guidance in pursuing higher education and establishing fulfilling careers, facilitating their seamless integration into society and self-sufficiency.

Over the edge coming November 16
Get ready for an adrenaline-filled experience! On Nov. 16., Special Olympics, in partnership with Law Enforcement Departments across the state, is hosting the exciting Over the Edge event. Participants will have the chance to rappel down a 27-story building at Phoenix CityScape in Downtown Phoenix. You’ll be in a controlled environment, descending at your own pace while enjoying the beautiful fall weather, stunning views, and hanging out with Special Olympics athletes and the Paradise Valley Police!
To join, all you need to do is fundraise $1,000 per person. You can donate here online alertpv.us/2vk. All donations are tax-deductible, with proceeds going to Special Olympics, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Are you interested in volunteer work? Do you want to help protect and maintain our desert lands? Volunteer as a Preserve Park Steward!
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help monitor, protect, and maintain over 35,000 acres of preserve land. With a small team of Park Rangers overseeing these public spaces, becoming a Park Steward offers a meaningful way to give back to the natural areas so many enjoy. Park Stewards contribute in many ways including:
• Hike Patrol
• Bike Patrol
• Trail work
• Unofficial Trail Mitigation
• Tree Trimming
• Native Plant Revegetation
• Special Events
• Educational Programs
• Community Outreach
Park Stewards can even perform their duties while using their own personal equipment such as a bicycle or horse! They will also receive identification gear, field training and continuous support from park staff. Note that there is a minimum age of 16.
