Latino rock band El Chicano will be headlining 2022 Somos Peoria, the Valley’s most celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month event, in Old Town Peoria on Sat., Sept. 24 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
El Chicano is known nationwide for incorporating rock, funk, soul, blues, jazz, and salsa sounds into their music. The band has earned five gold records, recorded 12 albums, and has had their songs included in more than 100 compilation releases.
In addition to the live music, there will be a lowrider car show, Ballet Folklorico performances, live mural painting from Carlos Rivas, Luche Libre, traditional food and beverages, and a free kid zone with rides, face painting, games, and more.
