Delta Dental of Arizona, celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout 2022, is pleased to announce Peoria resident JoLou Trujillo-Ottino has joined the dental insurer’s leadership team as its senior vice president of sales and business development.
In her role, Trujillo-Ottino will identify and implement strategic business development opportunities as well as provide directional oversight of the sales and group services teams. Trujillo-Ottino is relocated to the Phoenix area––settling in Peoria––from Albuquerque, where she served as a key member of Delta Dental of New Mexico’s leadership team since 2016. Most recently, she served as vice president of business development managing sales and account management, group administration, marketing and communications, government relations, and corporate and community giving. Prior to joining Delta Dental of New Mexico, Trujillo-Ottino owned and operated her own business, a promotional advertising company, for more than 20 years.
A dedicated servant leader, Trujillo-Ottino has served on several community and civic boards, including the American Heart Association of New Mexico, Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance, Special Olympics of New Mexico, and State of New Mexico Commission on Higher Education. In 2019, Trujillo-Ottino was named a New Mexico Woman of Influence and in 2015 a Laureate in the New Mexico Business Hall of Fame for both her business acumen and commitment to giving back.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and Latin American studies from the University of New Mexico and has completed a series of programs within the Harvard Business School Executive Education curriculum, including Healthcare Economics, Financial Accounting, Economics for Managers, Business Analytics and Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage.
