In 2019, Thompson Thrift Retail Group (TTRG) broke ground on the commercial portion of an 18.75-acre, mixed-use development located just south of the southeast corner of Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley Road. The popular area of the city is also known as Peoria’s “Four Corners.”
Phase I of the project, which consisted of three outparcel buildings and one inline building, recently completed construction and the initial grouping of tenants opened earlier this summer. Those tenants include: Black Rock Coffee, Sherwin Williams, Club Pilates and Jabz Boxing.
Additional tenants not yet open, but under construction in Phase I, include: Pearle Vision, Pacific Dental, Bennigan’s on the Fly, Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade, and a highly anticipated Aldi grocery store. Many are set to open this fall and late 2020.
“We have been working diligently with the City of Peoria and surrounding community to create a first-class retail project that includes a blend of local, regional and national retailers and restaurants,” says Chris Hake, senior vice president, director southwest region for TTRG.
Phase II of the project is slated to commence construction later this year and will include an additional 10,000 square feet of inline shop space plus a second space that can accommodate up to 18,000 square feet. Users expressing interest in Phase II include a yoga studio, hair salon, pet boutique, kids hair salon, and multiple restaurants.
“Thompson Thrift Retail Group is a team of experienced real estate development and leasing professionals, and we make great efforts to include community input in our projects to ensure a positive impact in the communities we develop projects within,” according to the company.
