“I am an experienced facial plastic surgeon with an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) background. Dr. Tamplen specializes in facial cosmetic surgery and notes that the rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job,” is one of his most popular procedures. “I’ve had patients who come to me to fix a past rhinoplasty that was done for form but not function,” he says. “I always make sure that patients’ procedures are structurally set up for success.”

He was also awarded the Jack R. Anderson Award for Scholastic Excellence in 2018. Dr. Tamplen explains that this prize is awarded annually to the U.S. or Canadian surgeon who achieves the highest combined score on the written and oral portions of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery examination.
In addition to the new Valley location, Tamplen Plastic Surgery has other practices in California. Dr. Tamplen shares that his plan is to split his time between his locations, but that the Scottsdale area will be his home base.
“We moved to Scottsdale and opened a practice here to be a part of this wonderful community and to start a family,” he says. “I can’t wait to plant roots here and grow my Scottsdale practice.”
