Exciting news for locals and visitors alike as the city of Scottsdale announces the return of the annual June Days, its summer extravaganza filled with an impressive array of activities and events set to heat up Old Town throughout June.
Now in its third year, the June Days program promises to outdo previous years with an even more comprehensive lineup of engaging, educational, and entertaining events. Catering to a broad spectrum of interests and age groups, the festival features interactive art experiences, live music concerts, scavenger hunts, pub crawls, poolside parties, group fitness classes, craft workshops, and cooking classes among a raft of other attractions.
“We initiated June Days in 2021 as a lifeline to support our small businesses during the off season, and the response was phenomenal. It was a no-brainer to make it an annual event,” says Jackie Contaldo, Old Town marketing manager for the city of Scottsdale. “Each year, we strive to enrich June Days with new, captivating activities and promotions that amplify the summertime spirit for both residents and visitors.”
This year’s June Days schedule boasts signature events such as Breakfast at the Market (Saturdays throughout June), Scottsdale Stories & Sweets (Saturday, June 6), June Days ArtWalk (Thursday, June 8), Starlight Movie Night (Saturday, June 10), and Juneteenth Community Celebration (Saturday, June 17). Each offers unique, immersive experiences that highlight the city’s vibrant culture and lifestyle.
Breakfast at the Market extends the city’s popular Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market with a delectable range of breakfast foods and artisan vendors. The Scottsdale Arts District will host the June Days ArtWalk, part of the Scottsdale Gallery Association’s Gold Palette ArtWalks, celebrating the summer with refreshments, entertainment, and exclusive exhibitions. Movie buffs can look forward to the Starlight Movie Night at Scottsdale Stadium, where “Top Gun: Maverick” will be screened under the stars. The Juneteenth Community Celebration at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts promises an enriching afternoon filled with cultural exhibits, health and wellness information, and live entertainment. Lastly, the Scottsdale Stories & Sweets event allows attendees to delve into the city’s history while relishing local sweets.
Apart from these, visitors can partake in wine and paint nights, summer concerts at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, spa and room specials at Old Town hotels and resorts, concerts at Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts, discounts for Wonderspaces Arizona and Leonardo. The Universal Man., theme nights at local eateries and bars, Segway tours, and much more.
