Somos Peoria is a multicultural festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage, taking place September 28 from 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. This all ages, city-sponsored signature event is all about showcasing the diversity and talent that make Peoria so special. In addition to live musicfrom national and local bands, festivalgoers have the opportunity to sample a variety of traditional foods, beer and margaritas, shop arts and crafts, and enjoy celebrated Hispanic activities such as Ballet Folklorico, lucha libre, strolling mariachis, and more.

Fayuca
A Phoenix based Reggae-Rock/ Latino group, fronted by founding member, Gabo Fayuca. Their sound shifts through genres while blending modern-reggae melodies with Latin percussion, tied seamlessly by razor guitar riffs and progressive rock breakdowns.

Pacific Mambo Orchestra
Recognized as a global phenomenon, this Grammy Award-winning Latin Big Band has an original and ingenious repertoire spoked with infectious energy and superb musicianship.

Latin Breed
Drawing on influences ranging from jazz to R&B to big band, the Tejano group Latin Breed was formed in San Antonio, Texas. After scoring a number of Latin radio hits with singles including “El Tejano Enamorado,” “Que Chulos Ojos,” “Don Luis El Tejano” and “Todos Dicen,” the band continues its journey across America. Their music is characterized by horns, rhythms, and embellished chords, and some critics and music experts compare their Spanish sound to Chicago, The Tower of Power, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
