Prickly Pete is an Ambassador of Goodwill for the city of Peoria. Pete made his debut in April 2019 as part of a promotion for Valley Bike Month and quickly became a social media sensation. Peoria residents flocked to find Pete as he traversed the city, posing for selfies and sharing them using #pricklypete on social media. Since then, he’s been busy living his best cactus life and sharing it on social media with his fans.
The city of Peoria recently re-shared some of his top moments online and they were too wholesome not to share with you.
Some of Pete’s Best Moments Include:
• Meeting his now-wife Pam at Driftwood Coffee in Old Town Peoria. They started dating and could be seen out and about around Peoria prior to the pandemic.
• Pete popped the question in 2021 at Lake Pleasant’s Sunset Point (such a romantic spot).
• In 2021, in a quiet ceremony in Old Town Peoria, Pete and Pam officially got married.
• In May, the cactus couple announced some big news: Prickly Penny, their newest bundle of (spiky) joy. Pete even took her to visit Lake Pleasant recently!
