Pomo Restaurant Group, the group behind popular restaurants including Pomo Pizzeria, Mora Italian and Meat the Ball, is bringing The Americano, an Italian steakhouse to Scottsdale. The restaurant’s website defines it as “a European style of personalized service, merging both Italian and American influences. With true flavors, carefully selected local products and creativity, The Americano is new and comforting at the same time.”
“The Americano will bring the best of both worlds from Italy and America to provide some of the finest steaks, seafood and pasta that Arizona has to offer,” Executive Chef Matthew Taylor said in a statement.
The restaurant’s menu is set to feature high-end steaks, certified Italian Piedmontese cattle, domestic Wagyu beef, house-made pasta, salads, antipasti, a raw bar, and caviar. The Americano’s 7,000-square feet of dining space will feature a wood-fired grill and steaks will be made to complement classic Italian dishes such as pasta and antipasti and Mediterranean seafood.
“The Americano will bring the best of Italian firepower cuisine with the finest American steaks,” general manager Paride Guerra said in the release.
Sneak peeks on The Americano’s website showcase large scale modern art adorning the walls, a Pete Diese sculpture, modern seating and lighting with pops of bright lime green. According to their Facebook page, The Americano will also feature two private dining rooms and a private terrace in which to host cocktail parties, corporate functions, business meetings or other celebrations with sharing menus and beverage packages available. The restaurant group will hire approximately 60 to 80 people to work at The Americano and offer first-class hospitality.
The Americano is located at 17997 N. Scottsdale Road, just north of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. According to their website, The Americano is set to open this month. For more information or reservations, visit www.theamericanorestaurant.com.
