The Creek Cookies & Cream provides a small town, neighborhood feel, retro decor and cozy atmosphere that offers a break from dime a dozen, commercialized ice cream parlours.
Even better, there’s a drool-worthy creation for everyone — from the Disney-popularized dairy-free Dole Whip to gluten-free cookie sandwiches.
Best-loved creations include the Rice Krispies Cream Sandwich, which features two freshly made rice krispy treats, an ice cream of your choice and a variety of customizable sweet toppings as well as the Dough Cream Sandwich which features the ice cream of your choice sandwiched between two pieces of a warm, glazed donut and topped with your choice of sprinkles or candy.
For more classic ice cream lovers, there’s the tried and true ice cream cookie sandwich and both waffle and sugar cones. Brownie and cookie lovers can even opt for a brownie, cookie or half and half bowl in either the large or mini size topped with their choice of ice cream and toppings.
If those aren’t enough options — there are also custom milkshakes, root beer floats, and of course scoops of ice cream locally sourced from Phoenix-based Karen’s Kreamery.
Popular and permanent flavors include strawberry shortcake, bourbon toffee caramel crunch, cookies and cream and the dairy-free raspberry pomegranate sorbet. Regulars may also encounter the shop’s variety of rotating flavors such as cotton candy and biscoff cookie.
Regardless of which of the endless options you choose, it’ll be served with a smile by one of their friendly and energetic staff members.
On weekdays, the shop opens at 2 p.m. but guests can enjoy their frozen treats beginning at noon on Saturdays and Sundays. The shop closes at 9 p.m. most nights, but stays open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
