Peoria celebrated imagination and creativity at the October 1 City Council Meeting by announcing the winners of the annual Library Card Design and StoryWalk contests. The annual contests, held in partnership with The Friends of the Peoria Public Library, promotes literacy and showcases talented young authors and artists and their love for reading and writing.
The 19th annual Library Card Design contest invited aspiring young artists to design a library card for Peoria’s library system. This year’s theme was “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” There were two age categories (kids ages 5-11 and teens ages 12-17). Each winner will have their designs featured on library cards and receive a $100 gift card.
